“Commercial Litigation: Relevant Recent Cases” – Ellen Gleeson BL

Ellen Gleeson is a barrister who has been in practice for 13 years.  She specialises in the areas of commercial, company and administrative/public law and has acted in a broad range of disputes from breach of contract and insolvency claims to fraud actions.  She has a particular interest in shareholder and partnership disputes and has appeared in several substantial shareholder oppression claims.

“Exceptions to the Implied Undertaking” – Jeananne McGovern BL

Jeananne McGovern is a barrister who has been in practice since 2002 with particular focus on taxation, commercial and healthcare law.  Jeananne is a CEDR qualified mediator and she has been participating in meditations since qualification in 2017.  She is also a member of the panel of Chairpersons for the Mental Health Tribunal and has recently been appointed to the Appeal Panel for the Chartered Accountants Regulatory Board.

“Discovery document review: Practical aspects of project management” – Kyle Gribben

Kyle is the Project Manager in the Legal Technical and Forensic Services team at Matheson, where he works with the legal teams using Matheson’s document review platform to assist with a range of data based requests, including discovery, investigations work and Data Subject Access Requests. He is a former barrister, having specialised in civil litigation, criminal defence and judicial review, before joining Herbert Smith Freehills in 2015 where he worked in Belfast and London, providing both legal advice and assistance with the management of disputes-based data reviews.

“Discovery Update” – Andrew Fitzpatrick SC

Andrew Fitzpatrick SC specialises in commercial litigation with an emphasis on company, banking and insurance law.  Andrew is a graduate of UCD and was called to the bar in 2000 and took silk in 2016.  Andrew is co-author of the text, Discovery and Disclosure, and is a committee member of the Commercial Litigation Association of Ireland.
